US Fiance Visa

US fiance visa is also known as American visa provided to foreign nationals who wish to get married with citizen of United States Fiance visa or K-1 visa provides several benefits, which includes:

  • K2 visa for children.
  • Apply for work permit in United States of America.
  • Small waiting period for K1 visa other than immigration visa petition.

Fiancée need to wait in order to apply for K1 Fiancée visa until and unless the US citizen with whom he/ she is engaged, file a petition for k1 visa on behalf of fiance. The fiance visa is also known by K1 visa, which is American Visa, being provided to citizen of foreign countries who is planning to get married with US citizen.

The petitioner need to submit the proof of US citizenship to USCIS.The petition, when approved, is passed to American consular office, where the applicant can apply for K1 fiance visa to enter domestic territory of United States.

It is necessary in K1 visa that applicant and petitioner need to be legally permitted to marry under the law of US as well as under the law of foreign country. The other condition to meet the criteria is that the parties should have met within the two months of filing the k1 fiance visa petition.

There is a condition in which this criteria can be waived as fiance need to get married with the spouse in the next 3 months, from the day she has entered the domestic territory of United States.

The spouse is provided with k1 fiancee visa with 6 months validity with single entry.

K-1 spouse visa is not issued to applicants to enter domestic territory under following conditions :

  • He/She is not eligible for US citizenship.
  • Criminal records committed by the applicant in the past.
  • Applicant prone to drug addiction.
  • Suffering from communicable disease.
  • Found with some mental or physical disorder.
